KitchenAid Stand Mixer Maintenance and Repair

Should you fix your KitchenAid stand mixer yourself? If your KitchenAid stand mixer is less than a year old, maintenance and repair should be done by a licensed service center.

However, if the mixer is more than a year old, learning to do your own Kitchen Aid mixer repair for your stand mixer is a good way to save money.

After all, when you have spent several hundred dollars on a quality mixer, you don't just replace it if a problem comes up.

While these problems are rare, knowing what to do when they do occur will extend the life of your mixer.

Most KitchenAid appliances come with a one year warranty. Until the warranty expires, fixing the appliance yourself may void the warranty, so be sure you read the guarantee that comes with the appliance.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to make sure the mixer is not plugged in when you start opening it up to get to the motor.

Saving money on the repair is not as important as your health and well-being.

I love my stand mixer--it's like having a couple of extra hands when I am baking! I would definitely try to fix it myself.
