When You are Laid Off, Can You Make Up Your Income with Internet Marketing

My daughter called to say she is concerned her husband will be laid off this week, since more than 300 employees will be laid off by his employer at the end of the week. She asked about making money online through Internet marketing, and whether it would enable them to continue to make a living if he is laid off. Unfortunately, the answer is yes and no. Yes, eventually, it could be their source of income. No, it's not likely it would be soon enough to help.

There are always the special few who make it big online in a very short amount of time, but the truth is most people who try to make Internet marketing a career don't make it to full time status for months or even years. While there are ways to shorten the process of learning what you are doing, there is still such a learning curve that most don't make it very soon.

If Internet marketing seems like something you would be interested in, it is important to begin working on your new 'career' as soon as possible, hopefully while you still have a full time income to depend on while you are working through that learning curve. It isn't that there is not enough information on how to learn Internet marketing. There is actually so much information and are so many ways to do it that it often becomes overwhelming to the neophyte or newbie.

If you decide this is the way for you, great--go for it! Just remember that you must give it your full commitment for it to work, because it is work. It doesn't happen overnight--it is not a get rich quick recipe. You will definitely work for what you earn as an Internet marketer.

For my daughter, and anyone else concerned about lay offs, don't wait. Start now while you have time to build another income stream before you need it. When you need the income, it may be too late to build it fast enough to survive financially.
