Skinny Iced Brewed Coffee with Non-fat Milk
by Susan Elliott
A couple of days ago I was at my local coffee establishment and I ordered a skinny iced brewed coffee with non-fat milk. They had just happened to run out of coffee, so they had to brew some fresh. I watched the entire process from start to finish.
In those few minutes I discovered the secret to the Cup-of-Joe I was spending way too much money on. I drank my drink and then hurried home to make my own version.
Best Ever Skinny Iced Brewed Coffee with Non-fat Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
- Your favorite coffee beans (My favorite is Seattle's Best Coffee.)
- Non-fat milk
- Cubed Ice
- Optional sweetener of your choice
There are no special tricks for making a skinny iced brewed coffee with non-fat milk. All you have to do is make coffee the way you normally would.
I use plain unflavored coffee beans, but a flavored bean would make this drink extra special.

To make several skinny iced brewed coffees with non-fat milk at once follow these directions.
Take a small 2 quart pitcher, and fill it half full of ice. Next, pour hot coffee over the ice in the pitcher. Leave about 3-inches of the pitcher empty.
Fill the iced coffee mixture with non-fat milk to the top of the pitcher.
If you'd rather make it by the cup, add ice just like you would in the pitcher, and then add coffee. Make sure you leave enough room for your desired amount of non-fat milk.

It's then that I use a tsp. of almond extract instead of the fancy coffee syrups (That is for a whole pitcher, I would use less per glass.)
Make sure that when you add flavorings add it to the coffee before adding the milk. ALWAYS stir well. This will ensure that the flavor is incorporated well through out the drink.
A skinny iced brewed coffee with non-fat milk can be enjoyed either sweet or unsweetened. I like to prefer pure can sugar. Of course, any sweetener can be used.
I often make this drink by the pitcher because I have five coffee drinkers in my house. This coffee drink is great for serving at parties.
This drink is also good for people on restrictive diets, because it tastes really decadent without all of the calories, fat, and carbohydrates! Of course, if you don't have any diet restrictions you could substitute the non-fat milk with cream, half and half, or whole milk.
