For a Song by Charles Pogue

For a Song by Charles Pogue, my husband, is now available for Amazon Kindle. If you know me, you know that I have always wanted to be a writer. The same is true of my husband. He has been writing songs and poems since he was a teenager. For a Song is his third indie published book.

In the past couple of years, Charles has been trying his hand at fiction. All of his fiction fits in the Christian fiction category. There is no gratuitous violence, no sex, and no profanity, making the books suitable for almost anyone.

In this book, Crafton Davis finally lets Sybil know he loves her. At first Sybil is confused and uncertain. After all, she has been going with the school's football running back hero, Drew, for a long time. After some soul-searching, Sybil realizes that she does not love Drew and leaves him.

Her love of country music draws her to Crafton. Together they decide to start a business writing, promoting, and publishing traditional country music. As she and Crafton get closer, Drew's antics get more dangerous, until finally he threatens them both and their families.

Written from the man's point of view, the tone of this book brings to mind many of the Hallmark movies.

Charles' Other Books

A true romantic at heart, Charles enjoys writing about characters who fall in love, face dire problems, and solve them together. His other books include Mountain Rescue and The Christmas Flood.  Some of his books center around Christmas, but they are a good read at any time of the year.

You don't even have to have a Kindle to read Charles' books. Just download the Free Kindle App available on Amazon to read the books on your laptop, desktop, tablet, or smart phone.

  1. This book is a quick read, and I loved it. The shy bashful guy finally has the nerve to tell a beautiful girl that he loves her and has for years. Her ex-boyfriend causes them some problems and threatens both their lives. Interesting and fun to read.
